Terms of Service

What These Terms Cover

These Terms of Service apply to your use of therestorationgroup.com and to any service relationship you enter into with The Restoration Group, located at 500 S 31st St, Kenilworth, NJ 07033. By using this website or requesting services, you agree to the terms described here. If anything is unclear, call us at (855) 650-7422 before proceeding.

Service Area

The Restoration Group operates within New Jersey. While we serve a wide range of communities across the state, we cannot guarantee availability in every location. If you are unsure whether your property falls within our service area, contact us directly and we will confirm before scheduling.

Estimates and Work Authorization

Any estimate, quote, or assessment we provide — whether delivered in person, by phone, or in writing — is not a binding contract. An estimate reflects our best evaluation of the scope and cost of work at the time of inspection, based on visible conditions. Actual scope may change once work begins and concealed damage becomes accessible.

A signed Work Authorization Form is required before any remediation or restoration work starts. That signed document, along with any attached scope of work, governs the actual service relationship between you and The Restoration Group. Verbal agreements or email exchanges do not substitute for a signed authorization.

Payment Terms and Accepted Methods

Payment terms are outlined in your Work Authorization Form and any accompanying estimate. We accept payment by check, major credit cards, and electronic transfer unless otherwise noted in your agreement. For insurance-covered losses, we coordinate directly with your carrier as described below — but the property owner remains ultimately responsible for any balance not covered by insurance.

Insurance Coordination

When your loss is covered by a homeowner’s or commercial property policy, we can work alongside your insurance adjuster to document damage, submit photo evidence, and provide itemized scopes of work in the format most carriers require. We do not guarantee coverage decisions — those are made solely by your insurer. Any authorization to share documentation with your carrier must come from you, and we will not release information to third parties without your approval.

Scope of Work and Change Orders

The scope of work in your signed authorization describes the services we have agreed to perform. If conditions change — hidden moisture behind walls, structural damage discovered during demolition, or materials that require special handling — we will notify you before proceeding with work outside the original scope. Changes to scope require a written change order, which becomes part of your service agreement.

Liability

The Restoration Group operates as a licensed contractor under New Jersey state regulations. Our liability is limited to the services described in your signed Work Authorization. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, damage caused by delays in reporting a loss, or outcomes resulting from incomplete disclosure of known hazards at the property. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under applicable New Jersey law.

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises from services rendered, we ask that you contact us first at (855) 650-7422 so we have the opportunity to resolve it directly. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and any legal proceedings will take place in Union County, NJ.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. The current version will always be available at therestorationgroup.com. Continued use of the site or our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
